Well my fez is finally running sweeter than ever after spending five days in the service centre getting the engine light sorted out AGAIN...
This was the fourth time and the diagnosis was a faulty oxygen sensor. After replacing this the light still came back within 10mins of driving, so new diagnosis, needed "new software". Now I dont know if its service department bullshit but they spent three days trying to install this "new you beaut software from Ford" <Quote Ford service guy>. They said the Ford service training manager, WA state trainer and some other top service brass were involved as they have never had a Fez with so many engine light problems and this was the first time they have installed this particular software in WA on a WP... As I said might just be service dept **** talk but the car feels fantastic finally <touches wood> after five days of driving a shitty loaner 02 auto focus = crap Their service was pretty appalling tho, car dropped off clean and with 3/4 of a tank then picked up filthy with under 1/4, the loan car was given to us with 1/8th and dropped off with 1/2 as I put $20 in just before they rang to say our car was ready yet they wouldn't even put $10 in our car. Not happy! But at least they seam to have fixed it this time.

Ford release new software pretty regularily. They are almost like microsoft they fix one issue but make a new one so they need to fix it and in turn make a new issue.
Im running with the original software that came with the car. |
