Default 5 metres from heartbreak

About 4.30 this morning, woke to this terrible noise, thinking WTF was that?

Fly out my front door, and see a boat on a trailer sitting in my front yard, about 5 metres from my BF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. :

We live on a bend near the river, the road goes from 100 back to 50, as it goes into a little bottleneck where we live, which is right in front of the straight.

Anyway di**head driving this car had no safety chain on his trailer, lost our letterbox, this about the 5th one, going to ring council they must be able to put something up to stop wan**rs doing this.

Mate, I'd tell the culprit that it's YOUR trailer and boat now, unless he can come up with a more suitable way of looking after his stuff.

And tell him to get you a new mailbox. A nice one, too.

Great way to make some money here. Put up a small cheap fence, every time some clown goes through it you hit his insurance company for big dollars for a new fence!

I knew a farmer who did this very thing ages ago. His fence on 'crash corner' was just about two strands of wire but every time someone went through it he collect for a new fence!

Scott mentioned he was woken up by the noise.

Same.

Surely the council will be able to do something to help you out. If it's a clear danger zone, it's in their best interests to ensure both your family and property, and people in their cars are safe.

Just mention things like, what if it was after school and my son was playing our there etc, etc, that is of course assuming you have little nippers! LOL!

All the best with it.

Hey.. lucky it didn't turn out worse. What a d**head driver though.
Doesn't your BF live in a garage?

I'd be parking it well away from the front yard now, lol.
