Default 245/40-18 Tyres help

I have a BF XR6 magnet ute with Dunlop SP sport 9000 245/40ZR18 tyres, I have never been a fan of Dunlop tyres and are keen to remove them from the vehicle and replace with a tyre with better grip.
I am asking if you have a better brand of tyre (18") with lot's of grip, at least more than the Dunlops, don't care much about wear rates.
I have done 5,000 km and the tyres are hardly touched as far as wear is concerned but would prefer a tyre with heaps of grip rather than heaps of km before replacement.

Cheers
Peter

You could go for a Yokohama V103 exceptional tyres.Or I got rid of the dunlop SP9000's and replaced them with Hankook Ventus K104 and have not been able to fault them in the 12 months they have been on the car.I would have to say they are the best tyre for price on the market today.

I have 254/17 Nexen's on the rear and cant complain.. I had Dunlops where the tread came away from case. Considering they where nearly twice the price of Nexen's not good!!!..I'll try Ventus K104 on the front as they are softer and keep Nexen's on the back...

I Replaced the 9000's with K104's and they are a very similar tyre in many ways except price.

I highly recommend the Toyo Trampio TPG. They are sooooo much better then the Dunlops. Price is right too. $249.00 each ( thats a far north queenslend price BTW) so expect even better price if you are southerly.
