Default AU2 Auto Tranny cooler. Picture please

Well, Did a bit of towing yesterday and boiled the auto tranny oil. . Hopefully the tranny is o.k.
Anyway, Who runs a tranny cooler and could you post a pic if it so I can see where to mount one, how big they are, etc.

I mounted mine on the driver's side near the bottom of the A/C condensor.
Hard to take pics though ... you can barely see it unless your are down on your hands and knees.

I had a pic somewhere on the PWR cooler I got (actually got the V8 version on my I6).

Default AUII XR6 trans cooler pics

G'day naughts, here is a pic of mine just after installation. It is a PWR type 250mm x 280mm wide and about 20mm thick. I have not yet plumbed it into the transmission lines yet, no time! It is the model that can run with the radiator or bypass. I did not have to remove the bumper only the black undershield underneath the bumper. I think this is the same type as Mechan1k used with success.

my baby radiator is mounted just in front of the engine one, down behind the front scoop (au1 forte)

You can either run it in line with the radiator or bypass it altogether. Most people will reccomend that you bypass as the transmission cooler in the radiator can fall apart over time and let coolant through your tranny - not good!

I bypassed mine.

Is it possible to have a "HOW TO" write up on how to fit these tranny coolers as its a very hot topic, aslo i just purcahsed one and need some info ehehehhe

my uncle was suggesting that it would be better to run with thru the radiator.. as when in heavy traffic / stopped there is NO airflow over the trannycooler if it is external to the radiator..
where as if it is inside the radiator it will have heat pulled from it via the water flowing thru the radiator because of the water pump??
any ideas on this?

^^i would think the thermo fans would help more in heavy traffic than just the water being pumped around, if you bypassed the radiator the thermos should still provide enough airflow to keep the fluid fairly cool...besides if your not moving it's not going to be heating up unless you are stalling up the car
