Thumbs up Thank you Shannon's, You Guys Rock

Thank you Shannon's, your response to the "Numurkah" incident was beyond expectation, and totally satisfactory. And for those who remember my insurance debarcle with them. In this thread... http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=71939

I received a phone call from Shannon's today. And the red tape has been dyed green. I will now be insuring both the T and wifey's Celica with them. Honestly, you will not find a nicer bunch of guys.

Good onya Shannon's, great PR and even better service. Thanks Chris, Paul and Wayne (You know who you are) Great work.

Kevin.

Nice! Are they reasonably priced?

Also are you part of a car club(other than AFF)?

Mate that's good news. I had a happy insurance day today with a new insurer who are now the proud insurers of the GT-P by saving me $1000.00 per year with mods and parked in the driveway. Must be a full moon out!

edit - took out the name of mine to leave this "good news story" for Shannons!

The ease with which they take your money is only part of being a good insurer. You wanna hope they are just as obliging at pay out time, but hopefully you wont need it. I'm insured with Shannons as well.

So what brought on the change of attitude towards insuring your car?

I also must congratulate Shannons on their response to the incident. Their service and treatment to us has been first class. I am most happy with the way we have been dealt with. Couple this with the fact they are a more understanding insurance company for modifications etc I also will be changing my insurance with home/contents, my vehicle and wife's car to Shannons.

I can say this is the good thing that has come out of the whole mess. I think the costs of repairs to my car is up around the $5000 too!!

Yes, price is very competitive, and more importantly the service is priceless. I am in a car club, ORSM Ford Cruisers.

The ability to deal with someone above the teamleader, which came about after the Numurkah incident.

I would ask the question with them. I'm sure each case can be judged on merrits. But I'll add that I have a Carport, High gates, 3 dogs and an insomniac partner :hihi: So good look to anyone who can run that gauntlet.

Very Good to hear that everything is tip top.

It had become a widely known 'incident', and by your posts Shannons has truely stepped up to the plate. Go on them...

The best way to judge an insurance company is when you make your first claim.. Shannons have proven that they have the integrity to deliver.

Fully agree with this from my experience recently when someone suddenly jumped out from my left at a roundabout. Shannons made it so easy, no forms, no fuss, my selected repairer.

I'm glad they came to an amicable agreement, but then I had a good idea they would.

Another car of mine (no, not red!) had a rear ender. Shannon's allowed me to use my (expensive) repairer, and found 2 things not on the quote which they added. They are down at the cheap end of the quotes I got, but would pay a few $100 more just to have the fantastic service.

Funny that, I called Shannons for my car insurance last Tuesday and they told me to look elsewhere because their pricing structure to insure AU XR6's is not even close to being competitive... : So I went back to the RAA and they listed all my mods at no extra charge. We will see what happens in the event of a claim!

Good to hear you got it all sorted out.

Shannons won't touch me with a 10ft pole. Unfortunate as I could use the pay by month option. :(

In the other Thread you had issued cover with Torque

Now you have issued cover with Shannons - :

So basically you used Torque to protect you interests whilst you shopped around after your renewal date, and you think insurance company's are bad :togo:

Very true, and a good point. I would certainly add "Insured and repaired through Shannon's" to the info card if they wanted it.
