Toll will probably use it to their advantage some how. Put a nice advertising spin on, "TOLL - Speedy, reliable and first no matter what it takes"
TOLL wont even care they are one of the biggest transport companies in the world

I’m glad to say that I don’t shop there. They sell nothing but crap anyway.

By merge I meant he was at a Give Way sign. He was at the give way, not me. I DO NOT HAVE TO LET HIM IN, AND I DIDN'T.

And something that just came to me, do some thread minning, my very first car (GTS-T M spec Skyline) was written off by a truck driver, who ran a give way and T boned my passengers side, the B pillar ended up where the middle of the passengers seat would have been. This truck was carrying a crane on the back, the truck was about an 14 wheeler?. I had the car for 14 days, Very traumatic when you're 17 years old - especially when its no fault of you're own; instead a truck driver in a hurry to make his delivery.

Just tried doing a search for it, couldn't find the thread. It may have been on the old fordforums.com but there is no search function.

Excuse me for my dislike of large trucks at give ways as well as Toll.

Want a shovel mate? Geesh!

People have to learn to separate the company from its employees. Its the company and its directors who decide sponsorship issues, not the employees. It is the company who will suffer if you stop usign their product, not th employees. It is the employees who suffer if you make their lives a misery, not the company... just dont forget the distinction when it comes to trying to make your point.

And accidents happen! Yes, even to blokes driving trucks!!!

I will never shop at supercheap or whatever it is, they sell absolute rubbish, and nothing I cant get from anywhere else if I want to.

I dont plan on actively supporting any of Rick Kelly's sponsors if I can possibly manage it! Sometimes it cant be helped...

You guys are going to love this...

Rick the Younger was nominated as Cams "Motor Sport Personality of the Year"

Results later this evening...

<earmuffs on>

edit: ain't gonna happen, lol

All nominees must be:
• A current competitor in Australia in a category of four-wheel motor sport;
• A good role model for those interested in entering motor sport;
• Personable;
• A fair competitor;
• A personality who promotes motor sport in a positive light.

A lot of you guys have put forward emotional posts here and I empathise with you, but the sad truth is, the outcome is not going to have an adverse effect on Toll. As the Yanks say "there's no such thing as bad publicity".

Well you got the last line right anyway.
You were'nt doing a thing to TOLL, just an employee who could well drive a Ford!

Face it, all any advertiser wants is value for money. Which means getting their name/product on the box as much as possible.
They dont care if their name is on the worst driver (even better if he crashes a lot!) in the series, as long as the cameras are on that car their name is getting out to the public.

Well you just helped Toll, not only getting the car delivered to the dealership but in parts getting delivered for the car to be built. (This is of course if the car was new)

Like Toll is actually going to care if a few insignificant Ford supporters boycott their company. Besides, it's not like it was their fault that Kelly crashed into Lowndes.

I for one will still use them, the seem to offer a pretty reliable service.

I dont care, use them or dont. But everytime something like this happens people jump on the we woint use the sponsor bandwagon. I'll shop at supers#it, use toll etc if it'll save me money.

A couple of customers boycotting sponsors... not only is it childish but will have about .000000000001% of impact on their sales.

I know people on here are pretty patriotic about cars and motorsport but when you look at the big picture, companies don't care about what happens on the track unless their car wins. Reguardless of fair win or not their name is out there and can claim they sponsor the champion team.
