Default Amp wiring question...?

i know that your not ment to run the power cable and the RCA cables on the same side of the car...
but wat if the RCA leads are from a different amp?
is it ok to do that or not?
just asking because im about to start the wiring part of my custom boot..

cheers troy

It's best to keep all your RCA leads seprate from all your power leads. Current can cause interferance.

keep em away.... far away. i thought it may be ok to cross them at right angles (eg +) but even that is no good.

Yes you should keep them separated. Even if the signal and power cables are for different amps, you've still got the situation where surges of current drawn down the power line will electro magnetically induce signal distortion on the RCA lines. CaRtZ
is correct by saying that induction is most efficiently coupled through parallel conductors, but running perpendicularly crossing cables through a car is impractical.

So basicly, you have to keep all rca's down one side (left in your case would be best) and all power down the right (closer to battery). Regardless of which go to what amp. Also run speaker cables down with the rcas.

My 5m RCA cable JUST reaches. The amp is located on the right side of the boot, and the rca runs along the left side of the car.
