Its raining here, started last night. Not sure how heavy it was but woke up this morning and all around me its wet! Not soaking but damp. And its smells sooo nice!

Have family coming up from geelong and ballarat, hopefully they bring the cold weather from there with them, mix that with a bit of rain and it'll be even better.
I know one of them is looking forward to washing his car.

Great storm in adelaide last night. Significant amounts of some clear liquid were falling from the sky... the substance seemed strangely familiar, but i couldnt remember what it was called.

Im sorta up on the hill, east of the city... watched the lightning for about an hour all over the city and the northeast... had a nearby strike, blacked out the neghbourhood right up to our driveway (not us tho!)

I was talking to some of my cousins who are farmers in northern Victoria and southern NSW and they were saying the exact same thing. Private companies buying the water as well.
We recently had a family (all our cousins and stuff) to the murray around Strathmerton and it seemed very dry, and they are really pushing the water down the river. You can really tell the water level is droping fast, it really needs a flood bad.

For all us Melbournites, can't be far off. Hopefully it will wet something.

I see Heathcote looks like it's already wet. But as usual, Melton (in the middle of the dry) is looking like missing out.

People up this way have actually started stealing water!
One farmer had 30,000G Disappear from his rainwater tanks.

Here's hoping for a wet christmas up this way!

Cheers

OMG you'd need to be organised for that heist, and I don't mean with a jerry can or three. That's a tanker load.

should be good if we get some decent rain over the next few days

Talking to my old boss today he has to pump a heap of water from over a km away from an unused dam to put enough water in his dam to water his vineyard probably 3 times
