Default Rear Lower Spolier

Hey all,

Has anyone seen what an au would look like with a rear lower spolier without the rest of the kit ? Will it stand out like dogs balls ???

I want to get the attached AWC rear spoiler from their Seires 2/3 Fairmont kit and put it on my Series 1 Futura. Would it fit ?

Any thoughts would be great

I think it will stick out just a bit too much, without the kit

I have a spoiler on mine without any other body kit.. it doesnt look out of place.
Heaps of AU's came with a spoiler and not body kit. I dont think it will look odd at all. My only issue is if AWC will actually be contactable to supply it.

AU 2/3 rear skirt won't fit an AU1 bumper, au1 bumpers are much smaller and curve in more. Also it'd look funny without the rest of the kit imo.

You could just modify the AU1 rear bar. They're not that much different.

They meant "easily". I have an AU1, and my mate has an AU2, and they are not that different. The bottom line is slightly different, but if you're adding the lip, then cutting a bit of the bottom part of the bar to make it fit is no big deal - I believe Glenn had to do that on his AU2 bar anyway.

V8snerlo looks like the best option for you though - I even think it's in a similar, if not the same, colour.

if youre talking about putting the bumper skirt on without the rest of the kit, i reckon it'll look a bit odd.

.
Yeah they cut the rear bars from factory to fit the tickford skirt. I would just go get the series 2 bar if you wanted it on a series 1... just to get it to sit properly.

you can get a series 2 bar from the wreckers for about $120. the bar from leon is red, but I'd just buy that and spray it, all the fiddly cutting and fitting is done and from memory his price was very reasonable.

His price is resonable, but the cost of QLD to NSW delivery may not be.

Plus then i gotta still get it sprayed.

Definitely get get the Series II side skirts and front lip.
It'll take you a little longer ... but in the end when it comes to paint ... it is cheaper to get it all done at once and then fitted in one go
No spoiler though ... then deck it.

Patience is a virtue ... but in the end ... it will look the goods.
