Default Can anyone get cheap cable

Hey people i have installed the battery in the boot to find in this hot weather and when the motor stinken hot it barley starts.
Anyway i was wondering if anyone can get cable cheap and would be willing to help me out with trade price or some form of discount i am located in south east sub of vic.'
Any help would be awsome.

I got quoted $35 a meter for some 0 Gauge cable, just to show how expensive it is.

$29 a metre i have been quoted it all comes down the fact i am tight and have a house and a kid on the way so i try and save wherever i can plus i have time on my side.

T_Terror bought about 10 metres of 0 guage for about 100 bucks if I recall correctly. I was with him, but I don't recall where we got it. I think we even got 2 battery holders as well. Shop around ;)

you should be able to buy welding cable for a large stick welder from a wholesaler you need the b+ lead only and then run some earths to the body and chassis and motor .

As atec77 mentioned, get a price on some welding cable from a welding supply shop.

I went to BOC (in Moorabbin) and bought some 35mm2 (I think) cable. While you are there get the lugs.

Also keep in mind, thicker the better. Also upgrade your earth wires.
The battery has to be vented to the atmosephere, it has to be bolted down and have a metal base.

btw you really should run a earth back to the engine block from the battery as, using the chassis is not really good enough for cold cranking. and current drawing throuh it.
