Hmmm, as nice a car as the XR-4 will be, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to be up and selling a perfectly good Zetec for one unless you were going to buy a new car anyway.
It just seems like a waste of a lot of money for the same car with some extra gear and a few more ponies under the bonnet. I feel most guys here could spend half the difference in price from upgrade to a XR-4 in making their Zetec into something just as special and just as fast if they use the money wisely. But for those who do get one, lucky bastards!!! |

Adsy01 yes the XR4 is pretty much a Zetec with 36more kilowats (50% more power) a bodykit and interior. But buying the XR4 over a modded Zetec comes with one MAJOR advantage, XR4 will have a New Car warranty while a modded zetec won't.
But I don't think ill be getting one |

Back on the gearbox thing. Signup to the http://www.fiestastoc.com/ forums and have a look at some of the mods done there. Couple are running close to 200bhp doesn't seem to be any sign of gearbox troubles on there yet.

Why is a clutch plate going to do anything? If anything an upgraded clutch is actually going to be HARDER on the gearbox then a stock one.
