At the moment im interested in something that looks discreet but its special everytime you crank it over! So basically im tossing up between a EB XR8 or a EL XR8.
Reason why i prefer either of these cause the EB can look deceiving with its very stock looking form even with a 5litre under the bonnet and meanwhile the EL puts the meaning in 5 for 5litre and being a little bit more fresh then the EB but with the bonnet vents give away its true character. So what am i better off doing? Wouldnt mind owning the EB but was told in my best interests to go for a later EL cause build quality isnt overly crash hot on the EB (please dont shoot me down on that comment). My objective anyhow is to own something clean and discreet and being able to park it anywhere with confidence but knowing theres something special that lurks under the bonnet! Any comments, opinions are welcome! |

if i were you, get an eb xr6. they have a big power difference compared to standard, where the xr8 doesnt. and at only 4kw difference, stick with the i6 engines. also makes working on them alot easier with cams etc.
cheers scott

In my opinion, EB will look more of a sleeper than a EL, that's mainly due to EB having less of a body kit

Youl all shoot me down for this but id go a 1990 toyota cresida with a 7mgte instead of the standard 7m i know its a toyota but hey cheap as and it would take a fair bit of cash to make a eb or el xr8 to beat one.
Sorry if i have offended in a ford forum but just trying think outside the square. |
