I just wanted to ask if this is the right wheel for an AU1

It looks like it's off a T series with the special button gear selection mode.

Won't work with a stock AU auto though.

Yet - you mean it won't work yet. I've been saying this for a while, but it IS coming...soon (just don't ask me to define soon, LOL).

Mark_One - personally, having had both the momo and the BA GT style one, the BA GT style is my preferred choice. It's chunkier, and IMO looks and feels way better. Plus the BA GT style one for the AU is around $200 from rat_global on ebay.

I really want a wheel with red however to go with the up coming black and red interior.

The red one they have is red and grey and black - not quite as good looking as the black with silver inserts.

So momo may be your only option - it is still a much nicer wheel than standard.

I wish they did that BA GT style wheel in PLAIN black leather... no silver inserts.. and no ugly logo stuck on down the bottom. I love the feel of it, my mate has one in his EF but i think those 2 things let it down. I've got a grey/black momo in my AU and its heaps better than the forte one. Very comfy to drive with.

Agreed Glenn, if there was just a plain black one or even black and blue etc, Id have one too.

Agreed. But you get used to not noticing the grey inserts, or the little autotek badge - the wheel is THAT comfortable, that your eyes just look at the road!

So, the feel of the GT style wheel kills the momos, but the look of the momos kills the GT style wheel. Given that you hold the wheel and look past it (ie watch the road), I'll let my hands do the voting.

Me too.

I also didn't like the silver inserts but a couple of people have noticed and asked about the wheel. All good if you're like me and will talk to anyone ;)
