I'm not sure about the diference in exhaust noise with a new tip but back in my high school days the guys with stock excels and daywoos caimed about a 30kw gain from just a chrome tip. They never had it dyno tested but apparently "you can really notice the difference when you put your foot down".....

30Kws from a chrome tip, i may be a girl but i aint dumb, thats got to be rubbish............... :

I got to agree. 30kw is a tad bit far-fetched. Thats like more than half the power of an Excel.
