As the title says I'm looking for the cheapest place for a Laptop battery for an (old) Acer TravelMate 530.
Any ideas?

Maybe get a battery repacker to replace the cells. I think they charge about 90-140 bucks to do the job. Alot cheaper than a new battery for a superseded model.

JB and Hitman. Yeah, I tried that and despite (the site) saying that the battery fits a 530 the battery in the pic is not the one I have here.

Personally, I wouldnt go eBay for a battery. It might be really old stock. LiIon batteries deteriorate against time, not charges. So even if the battery was never used but is 2 years old, its basically on its last legs.
