Radurra is Italian for Clear


The creator and patent holder of "the clear wheel" Doug McGoon and Forgiato have combined to turn this idea into a real drivable wheel.

In 2006 we proudly produced and introduced "The Clear Wheel" called Radurra for cars and motorcycles.

Again we return to our roots of jewelry manufacturing. A technique known as bezel setting which only master diamond setters can know, is where the diamonds are just slightly larger than the bezel they are set into, and held in place by pressure. Understanding this, we put the same care and consideration towards the Radurra as we would towards a fine watch.
By eliminating the alloy center of a three piece forged wheel and setting into its place a hard coated polycarbonate center with a glass-like finish we achieve an amazing and stunning look, with a finished product that looks too good to be a wheel. Much the same way the diamond is set into a bezel setting, the polycarbonate center is set into the forged aluminum hoops with precision machining and a jeweler's touch... the end result is a wheel that is strong, safe and beautiful.
Now show off your high performance brakes and suspension on your high-end car or motorcycle. The same way you would add diamonds to your platinum watch, add the Radurra to your "platinum" car or custom chopper. With a vast range of color and finish options, your Radurra is sure to be as individual as yourself or your clientele.

The Radurra is currently available in twenty and twenty-two inch, and are custom built on order for your car or motorcycle.


The same way all Forgiato Wheels are custom built by master craftsmen.

Technical Data
The center is 1.5 or 2" polycarbonate, chemical hard coated both sides.

Weight 20" - 27 lbs, and 22" - 38 lbs (complete wheel weight)

All other parts of the wheel are forged 6061t aluminum
(Inner and outer hoops and Hub center)

SAE tested, certified and passed Impact, cornering and radial tests.

Now in production, average delivery time is 6-8 weeks.

Suggested retail is $5000.00 per wheel

hmm, here I was thinking Heaven was a nice place....... and at $5000.00 per wheel, I could think of kazillion and one other things to spend that money on.

Also, would you have to take them off to wash the brake dust from inside all the time?

I dont know if they are good or bad really, but I reckon if the price of those dropped a lot, and they were marketed correctly, they could take off in a big way...

Would the brakes overheat?

brake dust would be a killer issue..

and i dont think brakes would over heat any more than a stock fairlanes brakes do.. as alot of standard cars from a few years back have solid faced wheels .. any look at any of the drag style rims on toranas etc..they are solid..

but i dont see any benefit to these over a set of thinly spoked wheels??

Obviously at 5k a wheel there's alot more engineering in these wheels then your average plastic weather shields, so cracking and sun bleaching probably aren't that big an issue. As far as brake dust goes, these wheels given their cost and hence exclusivity would negate the problems associated with brake dust and daily driving. Basically if you can afford these rims you can also afford a detail fairly regularly.

This makes my post count 351, I'm tempted to never post again.

Only problem with these wheels is you will see them on some ricer lancer, full of neons and 9' discs, and tiny calipers...
I think they would be better used to sit the phone and keys in the lounge...

There definatley a hot looking wheel but would be a pain in the **** to keep clean if it was a daily driver.

it really all depends on how much testing has been put into these rimes.

Oh dear.. every rapper is going to be straight into these.

I think we can stress less about the Lancers and what not using them - bit out of their price league and they're not exactly a stocked item at SuperCheap.

At least they're different... would be cool for show cars.

I would be very suprised if they were used for anything but show use.

I like them for their propose but for the price and the downfalls they have I can only see them being used for show and at show not realy on the street .
I like to see things new for cars weather they work out or not .

i think you would find these rims would be only used for car shows etc. sure there is bound to be a few on the road but most would never be used properly.

Definitely a car show only item and would do the trick quite well.
Polycarbonate roofing, designed to withstand the harsh sun still ages pretty poorly.
