Steffo, keep in mind that those are times were not straight of the bat. These cars carry 200kg of extra weight not including cops and run on below par fuel. Those times were freakish and are about as applicable as the 4.something runs the media-spec HSV VEs did.

A police spec F6 probably wouldn't run a 12. A low low 13 though, not out of the question. That's assuming that nothing is done to them mechanically. I wouldn't know what they do, but I've heard 6 cyl BA XT police cars going at it full throttle... and they sound like no other 6 cyl BA I've ever heard. However a normal, auto F6 should be able to do it. Manual I'm not so sure...

I've seen a few jaw-dropping stock BF auto F6 kills myself, but I can't really use that as evidence to how fast they are. And I know that not everyone can run that sort of time in them.... put me in one and I'll probably do 15.0 @ 100mph smoking it up the whole way :

Yes and most of us remember the stuff you used to do there and at FF.com. Take it on the chin and learn from it.

perhaps not so much taxes as revenue? which ever it is, at the moment it would be great being a cop just for the thrill of driving the "hotted" up F6, Lotus or BMW's they are all cruising around in! I have seen a Brisbane "D" car recently, a BMW sedan, not sure of which one it was, it was on the other side of the gateway motorway after puklling some poor rich midlife crises guy up.

another thing is, because they are so brightly coloured, the cops seem to be having a hard time avoiding being hit! already the Maroochydore cops have had 2 highway patrol cars rammed.....maybe their high visibility idea of red was a bad idea...target practice? PULL........

Four or five years ago would be powered by the K-Series 1.8 but at around 116kW, which means consistant 13.5s. Not as fast as the 2ZZ-GE Toyota motor, but still able to hose most V8 Aussie sedans. With 116kW. Ah the joys of power/weight....
Beh, i still know what id rather be driving

Police cars get a heavy duty alternator. That's it. Sometimes they get the better sports suspension. Its your imagination, or its a realy high performance alternator altering the exhaust note.

Keep living the dream though!

Yellow Elise with those "Police" stickers? ugh. Should've gave them a white Elise.
