Technical Contributor: For members who share their technical expertise. - Issue reason: Trev has owned several boosted fords and has really contributed a lot of info on them. His posts in the bike section are also very helpful. I think he should be recognised as a technical contributor.

I have the records of what plate number they were first registered with but that would probably not help him these days as no doubt it would have changed by now and then you would need to have someone in licencing help out to track the current owner of that plate etc. which would probably cost them their job. If he has a record of his body number or engine number then best best would be to quote that to some of the clubs to see if it now belonged to one of their members.

Interestingly enough when I got my E49 inside the owners handbook it had the original owners name and address, I looked him up in the phone book and bugger me if he didn't still live there! Was a doctor type from Kalgoorlie who had a Phase II, and then a Phase III before then trading in the HO on the E49. Said it was the best car of the lot of them too, LOL. Even though people on here wouldn't want to hear that :->

50% for a date code correct block, nope. I doubt that very much. If it were the numbers matching engine, possibly but even then. Anything is possible especially if the car is a 71 Hemi 'Cuda you'd be looking at anywhere from 200,000 to 4.5 Million+ US. Even clones of those cars are going for over $100,000K US so guys will pay good money to get the original engine with the above figures. It's not just Mopar guys either, Mopars (E-Bodies to be precise) are the big thing in muscle cars, investment, rarity and power/options. Average Joes are folking out the money, it's the Mopar guys who are losing out a little. The ones who have loved Mopar for ever are now finding it hard to buy as the prices are just out of reach for most.

If a car is manufactured, sold with it's original equipment(plus any dealer or factory add ons) it's an original car..Take anything off it and replace it with non factory item it's not original. Not having the original engine in (especially) a collectors car definitely drops it's value..
