Default Bad fuel - issues

yesterday I filled up the Ghia with Plus95 with ethanol from a United Servo.

1/2 way into the tank. today i start having the following issues:

-Pinging at all revs above 2000rpm
-Loss of power
-Could not rev or overtake safely because the car was shuddering.
-Bad fuel econ

So i checked the spark plug connections, air intake, tb, fuel lines /filter pump. All seem ok....

By this stage it was down to less than a 1/4 of a tank. I filled up with Optimax 98.

Fixed the problem. I dont know if there is anything I can do but I will be sending a letter with a copy of the reciept attached complaining to the servo. !!

Anyone else had issues with United Fuel. I will stay away now.

Jimmy, it would help if you added a bit more information to your post and to your profile. Australia is a bloody big place so what part of it are you in? And where was the fuel purchased?

not actually a problem with the fuel, ran a few tanks through my old car and it actually ran pretty good but...
when i was dead empty i could usually get 70 to 72 litres into the tank at my regular servo but for some reason i got about 75-76 at my local united.
even if the fuel is cheaper per litre it doesn't matter much if their pumps are running fast.

it was in Newcastle NSW.I am wondering if it was water in the fuel. Car runs fine now. I just hope no dammage was done.
