The cluster is held in by 2 screws at the top of the cluster under the caps, It's jammed in tightly as well, you could try using 2 allen keys and prye the cluster out.
Be careful of course though

Remove to two screws at the top of the cluster, and either pull the top down(only slightly) or put a small screw driver in to release the top tangs.
Then (my method), is grab the ode reset stick then wiggle the cluster side to side, pulling the top of the cluster on the oposite side to the ode stick gently. They are a pain in the *** to pull out i've done mine 3 times and broken the tangs that hold the plastic cover in place all 3 times. You just simply sugerglue them back in place if the break. Cheers PS, why you pulling the cluster out

I'd be wary of pulling on the odometer reset bit, I've heard it can come off, and then you're stuffed. I stick a big screwdriver up through the hole where the fuse box is, to push it out from behind whilst also pulling at the front with some allen keys in the screw holes. Just be careful your allen keys don't rip or scratch the vinyl dash covering. Cheers.
