I had no problem with the trams this morning on Burke Rd. Didn't hold me up at all.

I'm not trying to patronise anybody, but I don't know how it's hard to use a tram! You get on the tram, and you find a machine on there with four steps that are clearly outlined:
1. Two hours, or a day? 2. Zone 1 or 2? (Which have multiple signage around the place...) 3. Adult or Concession? Self-explanatory, and also plenty of signage. 4. Insert money. If it's so hard; surely you would ring up, check the Internet, or ask someone. It's just as easy as using a train or a bus.

i just wish they had trams up here in sydney, but then again they might be just as unreliable as the rest of the public transports here too not to mention there'd be a lot more accidents because the idiots that are on the roads up here would try to cut them off so they can move up one more spot at the lights.

There are trams in Sydney. One of my favourite ways of going to the S end of the city is to park (for free) at Glebe or Annandale and get the tram. It would be even better if our deadbeat govt would allow the line to be extended to Circular Quay. For some unknown reason they are dead set against it. Somebody's vested interest I guess.
The Sydney ones are fast too like in Europe. For some reason I've always found the Melbourne ones incredibly slow - which partly justifies Bill M's comment. Public transport should be quick to encourage people to use it.
