semi o/t... what are the current or late-model mid-size BMW V8 coupes available here? One blasted past me in Melbourne a couple of days ago and it sounded like a 253/308 with twin pipes! I was gobsmacked...

That sucks.. I liked the M3 because of the straight 6.
Whenever deadset dipshit holden fans would say "rubbish inline 6 fords" you could tell them the M3 was an inline 6, you can't tell me you dont like the M3. |

Yea but you can still tell them that the rice skyline is still a straight 6 and they got booted out of the V8's ... b4 it was the V8 supercars. But yea i don't care if its a 4, 6, or and 8 if it sounds good, has the power and goes hard... I want it NOW! But yea i love the sound of the M3 sounds sooooooo sexy!

12.0:1 compression ratio!!! That's huge. Surely 98RON would be the minimum fuel for it. Sounds awesome though.

the Strait six that the M3 has atm, i have seen pushed well over 350kw NA... very VERY good engine to work with. how ever these results have all been overseas. but the cars look very drivable, they rev to close to 9000rpm though, and the engines only good for 100,000k's. i remember reading through the press release for this motor. aparently there will also be a limited edition model with the M5 engine yeeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhaaaaaaaaaaaaa (anyone who's been for a spin in a new model m5/6 will know what im talking about) |

Not digging it, sounds like the fan in my bedroom. Way too mechanical. If the note was deeper then it would sound a lot better IMO.
