The XR's did have it. It has four modes available. Sport, Normal, Economy and Adaptive. It should be set at adaptive from factory. The book details how to change it. Mine is set at Sport. :monkes: :sm_headba You know if your centre console does have a switch for power and economy, you do not have adaptive shift. Mine has a nice decal saying "Adaptive Shift" at the left front of the Shifter. I hope this helps. Cheers, Mike PS davway, The Manual XR's dont have it lol : :the_finge : : : |

There are only 3 modes as well
Adaptive shift performance econ Turn the key complely off Select 1 for performance 2 for econ 3 for adaptive shift Turn key to acc and wait for the airbag light to go out then shift lever to reverse Econ light will flash 3 times When you start it constant econ light means its in econ mode 1 flash means performance mode no flash is adaptive Leave it in performace mode. The shift points are way to closed up when its in econ and when you want to overtake and it only goes back one gear its bloody annoying. Adaptive sh!T oh i mean shift takes 3 yrs to work out what it wants to do
