Hi All...
While not an offical club event.. thought i'd post this up to see if anyone is interested... Last year a few of us from the club went and there are HUNDREDS of cars at these things!!!! I have copied this over from another forum.. [IMG][/IMG] ANZAC Day, Monday 25 April 2005 guys and girls, its that time of year again, Anzac day and the massive Supercruise is on again. Unlike other years there will be no official meet up place to start the cruise, only an official destination. This is due to the enormous amount of effort to organise meet up, it is easier to just organise a destination point. This year the event will be held at Albion Park Airport from 12pm onwards. There will be BBQ DRINKS Ice Cream Jumping Castle Aeroplane & Helicopter rides. [IMG][/IMG] Entry is via sticker purchase, cost is $20 per car, tickets can be purchased at entry point. Aall monies raised will go to charity, mainly Childrens Hospital at Westmead. Also Police have been notified about the Event and they will be monitoring it so please be on your best behaviour, there will be no defect setup at this place, but please ppl it only takes 1 idiot to screw an awesome event. Bring your family, bring any car you like. Look forward to seing you there. Any enquiries please contact Albert on 0419 430 022 As there is no meeting point to start the cruise, in the past we have met up at the shell service station on centenary drive, just off the hume highway at chullora and then just go for the short cruise down to Roselands Shopping Centre Carpark (King Georges Rd).. HUNDREDS of cars meet there... then follow the bunch down to Albion park... There WILL be cops about.. they usually escort the cars down, but they also set up radars along the way.. so everyone will have to behave but its a good day out... Meet up at the service station at say 9 or 9:15..??? Ben.. |

Hey this was a huge run last year, I have never seen so many hotted up cars at one place, it is a top day out, I would recomend this for a fun day out you have got to take it easy though with the amount of Police out there with you.
Tickin I dont think I will be able to make this one this year but I will see what happens anyway

For anyone thats bored and wants to give this a look...
Meet up at the Shell Service Station on Centanery Drive/King Georges Road... not too far from where it intersects with the hume highway at chullora (heading in the roselands direction) Say 9 or 9:15, then we can head down to Roselands and just leave there whenever the bunch starts to. Or other options if people prefer, go straight to the Roselands Carpark or just straight down to Albion Park airport... my mobile number is below if anyone wants to give me a call for any reason.. hopefully see a few of you tomorrow... ben 0409 122 763 p.s. cant see why motorbikes wouldnt be welcome.... its open everyone all types of cars will be there... Everyone Piked Out..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cruise was good... must have been about 100 to 150 cars at Roselands... Then down at Albion Park... geeze........ there was about 500 or so.... (not a made up figure) there were cars EVERYWHERE... it was kinda like summernats.... Found tracy down there looking round, other than that it was quiet on club members surprisingly.... Anyway, was a great day.... traffic coming home wasnt too bad at all... but i headed back a bit earlier than the bunch... |
