Hey guys, new to the forum here so here is a really noob question.
I have an 06 focus CL hatch, nothing fancy but it keeps me happy. So i want to take out the headunit but i can't get the silver surround thing off. If i keep pulling 'm afraid it's going to snap. I know there are 2 clips down in the bottom 2 corners and can get them by pulling hard enough but than it feels like there is something in the middle and that part does not want to come out. Also i can't get anywhere if i try from the top. I have searched on the forum as well as the web but i can't find anything for the AUDM model. Here's a pic. I need to know how to get the silver thing off so i can get to the HU. Sorry about the size, it's off ford's site Appreciate the help Boban |

Even tho this topic has already been covered, I'll help you out, but next time please search.
You need 4 stereo keys which needs to be inserted into each corner and then the unit easily comes out. The keys cannot be purchased from Ford, so don't even bother asking them http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=220099152291 |

International eBay is the only option unless you find it available in an online store.

Thanx for all the info guys.
Since it's easter holiday and everything is closed i can't do anything yet. My bro thinks they have a set at his work so i might go and "borrow" it for a while. If not i'll go and speak to ford ppl, got a few friends there so maybe we can work something out. |
