Maybe,

The VE wagon & Ute will run the sedan "Short" wheelbase not the traditional Long WB which will remain for statesman.

It will be interesting to see the ute and see if it look cool or like a suzuki mighty boy.

Ute will be same time as sedan, not sure about the wagon tho.

Big thing will be that they will retain the LWB, making them useful for what they are meant to do. I cant see many tradies buying a SWB ute.

It looks great. Then again, Holden has had decent wagons for a while now. They look a lot cleaner and the lines flow a lot smoother than what you can get from the Ford Oz stable.

Yep photoshop of what it could look like. They used the new SAAB wagon rear-end when they did it.

If it looks like that, it'll sell alot more private sales I think and the 'sportswagon' name would really suit it.

There's an article that shows the latest Statesman being released in the US as the Buick Park Avenue:

http://www.worldcarfans.com/news.cfm...an-launched-cn

They are going quite well and they overtook Corolla as best selling car last month.

It won;t be CKD. Mostly it will be built in China, Aus will export engine (HFV6) and some other parts. China will probably become a builder of LWB Zeta for GM. I guess that means in time Holden will stop building and import as well as meeting export orders by shipping direct from China.

The chops were done by "RedOctober" from LS1. He used the SS and the Saab rear end. A Holden insider said a while back that the new wagon would be a sports wagon very similar to the Saab, so Red chopd this together.

The Ute and Wagon will be released in Oct/Nov, although dealers have already been shown pictures. It is possible the press release will be August. From people working in Holden, Utes have gone down the line already, so I guess they must be about to hit the streets for testing.

They look awesome! To be honest, I cant see them being very different to the sedan. Almost identical to the B-pillar. Look at the AU-->BF/VT-->VZ Wagons...their rear ends hardly changed at all.

We won't see a Ghia or XR series wagon, the market is simply not big enough. Sure the there are plenty (here) who will claim to 'want' one, but wanting and actually handing over the bills is 2 very different things and that much Ford Aus does know!
