Default Latest addition to ORSMT

I may not be going to Adelaide, but that doesn't mean the plans should stop. The latest addition is somewhat subtle, but enhances the look as soon as the door is opened. The sill mould cover was supplied by Aussie Car Enhancements and comes in sedan (4 covers) and Ute (2 covers), and the scuff plate sticker was supplied by Sign Perfection. I chose red lettering so it would go with the red XR logo on the seats, and the red border on the mats (Not displayed).

Please excuse the blurred images, having a beer to numb missing Adelaide :hihi:

Looking great Kev, your car really starting to come together. Plenty of mods, but quite tasteful.

Probably a bigger wallet... Hahahaha. Seriously, I want to get my rocker cover painted body colour, and while it's off maybe do some chrome plating on some parts. Cooling/oil feed lines to turbo, various bolts and other pieces.

The next mod has taken it's first step. I recently purchased a rocker cover, and have stripped and readied it for a visit to the Spray Painter. Soon to be Narooma Blue, and the plastic shroud will be done in Lightning Strike with a heavier flake added.

In the boot ready to go.

And the plenum purchased yesterday also in the boot, and off to the polisher. The gear I have will take forever to polish, and I just don't have the time.

Pics of the finished items to follow, them off to Craig's for some TLC.

I so want one. Add it to my list of bling to add to my engine bay. BTW you should see the state of ORSMBA at the moment. Looks real nice with no bumper. Saw someone one here selling a smartbar. I should buy that for the missus. But Im going to order my bra this week.

If you go to Car Bra (The one and only) in Reservior, be sure to mention you are with ORSM Ford Cruisers. We get a little discount. And re the plenum, I don't know if there is any difference between the NA and Turbo ones (doubting) but I will have one spare soon. Easier to polish and change later, especially for a daily.

Thanks for those fine words Jas, but it does open a can of worms when you start to mod. Each addition needs to complement the last, so as not to overshadow the previous one. My fear on this one is the throttle body. It will look bland between the crossover and plenum. I need to find out if the throttle body can be stripped down to it's main casting. If so, I will look at chrome. I don't think it will polish that well, but you never know. SS Inductions TB would look sweet, but pricey.
