Sparkies!
nah, i do brand and product management in my marketing degree and here is some info to help u brand ur business. Try to stick to this when choosing ur business name (brand) Memorable- Easily Recognized Easily Recalled Meaningful- Credible & Suggestive Rich Visual & Verbal Imagery Appealing (likeability)- Fun & Interesting Aesthetics Adaptable- Flexible & Updateable Protectable- Legally (essential) Competitively Transferable- Within & Across Product Categories Across Geographical Boundaries, Languages & Cultures then--- U can make a brand name on the following.. Descriptive- Describes the function literally (Singapore Airlines) Suggestive- Suggests a function or benefit (Aerogard) Compounds- Combinations of two or more words (Aerogard, redhat) Classical- Based on Latin, Greek, or Sanskrit (Kleenex) Arbitrary- Real words with no obvious tie-in to the company (Apple) Fanciful- Coined words with no obvious meaning (Mambo) this is super basic (would have helped u more but im busy doing assignments) but if u think along of what i posted, u should be fine... also u need to have a logo or symbol since your a service ;) Maybe a nice sticker to stick on everything u fix so u can build ur brand and not be like "Any other electrician"

Attached is a file i used to name one of my businesses, in the pic above you can see WORDA you add as many words as you want relating to what you want to do and any others, ( i just used all 3 letter and 4 letter words ) then where its says words A in yellow you can press this to sort and delete any duplicates. Copy the list to WORDB or even a add a totaly seperate list or mix n match as much as you like. Next in the light green above merge type the number to merge at a time 21 - 50 is good press merge, this will take random words from col a and col b and place them into the merge section. If you see a name you like click the meged name and the select the blue save option I spent 7 days on this but eventually it spatt out TRYINN this lead to the grey cells changing it to TRYINHERE as i was surley tryin here to come up with a name, i hope it helps Pete Last edited by DOC; 21-06-2016 at 08:25 PM. |

i like names that are catchy , easy to remember and actualy tell what you do.
aaa technical conections a technical connection technical connections technology connections are a couple that come to mind. need to think of it from a customers position, who would you look for to do all the technical stuff of getting your new entertainment system, etc, connected. the benifit of putting "a" or "aaa" in front is it will put you near the front of the listings in yellow pages. the more "A"s the higher up the list.

Before you fall inlove with a name, check to see if it's taken already here: http://www.search.asic.gov.au/gns001.html
After that, check to see if the domain name is available here:http://www.cdaahosting.com/Default.aspx?tabid=160 Oh, and by the way I normally make it a rule not to do this considering my professsion, but what the hell. Heres my 2 minutes of input:

I like it CDAA. It's available, and so is the domain! That's on the shortlist!
