Default Musical Cartoon On a Construction Site

Hey Guys, This has been playin in my mind since i was a kid, I remember watching a Musical Cartoon that was conducted on a Construction site, Its really amazing, cause all the Tools where used to play differnet' parts of the Orchestra, Its conducted by a dog with long blonde hair, and at the end of building this massive building, the inspector which is also a dog closes teh door and the whole thing falls down, and as the clip progesses the music gets faster and so does the workers,
This may sound reallllly werid, but just want to know if it rings a bell to anyone? and what its called?
thanks
-Ash

Yeah I wonder what the people who produced Fantasia and the like were smoking.

Na its not fantasia, the clip is very clever, the dog workers (cartoon) work to the soudn of the music along with the tools, and the conductor is like the site manager, which is also a dog, (sounds stupid but yeah its pretty good), il give that site a go, cheers

The "Warners Cartoons Go Classical" program started out with an animated short I recall fondly from my childhood, Friz Freleng's Rhapsody in Rivets (1941), another cartoon that displays a fascination with the image of the conductor. Rhapsody came out the year after Disney's Fantasia (1940), and one lesson I took away from this Lincoln Center retrospective was what an impact Fantasia must have had on other animation people of the time. Rhapsody is set at a construction site, where all the workers are anthropomorphic animals, and the conductor is the foreman, a cigar-chewing lion in overalls. Here are some obvious comedic inversions: instead of men and women in formal attire playing musical instruments, there are animals dressed as workmen wielding hammers and other tools. The conductor is poorly dressed and looks rather coarse with that cigar.

Significantly, the conductor is a lion. So he is the king of beasts, the appropriate choice to lead the others, even if this milieu lacks the majesty of Pride rock in The Lion King. He also has a mane, which alludes to the pre-Beatles stereotype of the longhaired classical musical. I suspect this lion's mane is also meant as an allusion to Leopold Stokowski, the legendary conductor of the Philadelphia Orchestra, who famously appeared onscreen as Fantasia's conductor, and was also known for his distinctive hairstyle.
sound like that?

Okay... after reading this post, due to my fascination with cartoons, I decided to watch this video... only to discover that on that page there is no actual link to view or download the clip.

After some further searching I found a blog with the clip on it (linked from youtube), but it had been removed by WB due to something called 'copyright'!?... whatever that is!

Then some research on the cartoon and the song's composer turned up that it was made by Warner Bros in 1941, so a search for 'Warner Bros 1941' in youtube came up with this... Rapsodia en Remache (Rhapsody in Rivets)...

... its been posted by someone spanish, and as a result all the vocals have been dubbed into spanish, but due to the heavy musical content, it really doesn't make a difference.

Enjoy!
