Let X = The times you want to dine out.
Let Y = Your birth year

Following the steps will give you the following: (assuming you already had your birthday this year)
(2X + 5)*50 + 1757 - Y
Which is the same as:
100X + 250 + 1757 - Y
Notice that 250 + 1757 = 2007 which is this year.

So, this turns out to be:
100X + (2007 - Y)

Therefore, the first digit is your original number (X), and the last 2 digits are your age.

Yes, you simply increase the two numbers in step 5 by one each year. Still cool and a bit of fun.

;)

Simple maths really...

Although it won't work perfectly if you are over 100 years old (Try saying you were born in 1904 and see what happens).

These same things have been around for ages and every time they say "This is the only year this works..." But you can make it work any year by changing 1756 and 1757 to 1757 and 1758 next year, 1758 and 1759 the one after, and so on and so on....

Every year, just add on an extra one to the number which you must add on to your (((2X)+5)*50) i.e. 1756 or 1757.

Next year, just change it to 1757 and 1758. The year after, 1758 and 1759.

Will it still work?
