Default Tooradin Drags.................

On the radio at work today they were saying on the news breaks something about a 1km long airstrip being available for drag racing at Tooradin airport. I think I heard them say that the locals and the council had approved it. Anybody else hear this or anything related to this announcement?

Thumbs up

The owner is submitting an application before the City of Casey to use the old Tooradin Airstrip as a drag venue.
More Details....

Normally when it sounds too good to be true it generally is... So i am not holding my breath....They have been trying to get something up and running in the south eastern suburbs for years...

But in all seriousness i hope this works out.. I'm guessing that these new hoon laws would be helping the cause..

yeah - there was an article about it in the Herald-Sun yesterday (04MAY). there's a lot of council and police support for it, and the owner of the airport is more than willing. looks like it's a goer. and congrat's to the boys who persevered with the cause!

I read on www.gmh-torana.com that the local council did not approve the deal. but there is a petition going around.
