AU Ute Vs Sedan Price

Hey guys

Im lookin at an AU and my Dad said why not get a ute very rarley do i have someone with me and i could use it. So i go to look and people are wanting 10-15k for AU utes with 120-150 on the clock. A sedan with the same amount of km`s is 6-8k. Why are the utes more expensive. I mean you even have less seats for cryin out loud. Whats the deal?

Im also in W.A cars are way more expensive over here.

Utes are always more expensive coz they are always in higher demand (theres less of them around).

Answer - they just are! Utes are more often used for work and a lot of businesses would rather buy a secondhand ute to save money, it doesn't need to be the latest and greatest. If you think the price of AU's varies go have a look at an HZ Holden, I guarantee you will find utes and 1 tonners for sale for $10k, but will struggle to get more than a couple of sedans near that price

in a magazine i read a while back about the AUs,stated that the only sucess story from the series was the utes,and was more liked when people was hating on the AU1 sedan looks,so the utes are not as depreciated,resulting in them costing more.
