Well I'm no cam expert but "stage 4" seems to be merely a title bequested upon the cam your new motor has in it (edit: that sounds smartarsey I realise but i'm not trying to be one... for once :P). But what does "stage 4" mean? One company's "Stage 4" might be equivalent to another company's "Stage 2"...
Things like lift, duration, etc will give you/us a better idea of what the cam actually is than the term "stage 4". |

Yeah we checked that one out as well.
Looks like a fair bit of work done to it, but the motor looked all dirty and dodgy for only 40,000km. Anywho, if it works well you got a bargain. Sundeep |

it wont fit in the boot and it will way a little to much for the car diff to carry in there if it did.. best idea is to hire a trailer and chuck it in there.... and how do u spose to put it on the trailer?
youll need an engin crain or a decent pully sysytem... but i duno t hat much all i know that wen i did an engin in a vh there was no way it was being lifted by hand so id grap a trailer and some man power or a pully system?? the engin dosnt look to bad you wuda thought the person selling it would have cleaned it to make it look better ha?? ohhh well sounds like a good buy dimi |

: The guy can tell you what ever but without receipts all you have bought is a 3.9.For a motor to be 40,000 it is not as if you are saying 4,000 k's did you hear it running or did he already have it out of the car. Can he produce a business card of where the work was done so you can ring and talk to the w/shop to find out the spec's on the cam it may well be you may have to run a stall and headers and exhaust to get it to work at optimum. Too many unknowns to say if it was a good buy truly or not .I hope for your sake it is all good??????? Sorry if this sounds a bit harsh but !! I would gladly have paid for a VRS set just to get him to show that is has in fact got what it say's if not just for peace of mind... :yeees:

Dude for $500 if you cant rebuildone yourself then all it realy needs to be is a good re ringed motor and you got a deal.
I agree with the other coments on receipts to prove what is done ect but hey its your cash and if ya wrapped with it thats all that counts. Also forget fancy engine cranes ect i bought a engine and gearbox to rebuild of someone in the forum cant remember who he will remember maybe but anyway it took only 3 of us to man handle it into the back of a 6x4 trailer they aint that heavy and ill tell ya now im a weed. Cheers |

well, just looking at the balancer, it looks like a Ross Tuffbond balancer. They retail for $160, and mainly for race applications. I have one.
