I saw it a while back, I was channel surfing some nudey girl caught my attention out the front where she stood there the whole show while he drew on her what he was doing to the deceased bloke on the bench

The guy that does it is a bit of a freak, he reminds me of the girocopter bloke out of mad max...

Yeah I've been watching it, quite interesting, my girl thinks its disgusting and won't watch it cause she reckons it'll give her nightmares .

I do think the guy is a bit creepy though .

Could just be the German accent. I reckon he sounds a bit like arnie.

Yes, its a bit gory , but very educational if you pay attention to what they are explaining ! I think the german dude is Igor, Dr Frankenstiens assistant ! only Igor has gone out on his own after Igor was displeased that the Dr named his creation after himself (Frankentien the monster) . Igor thought he should be named Fredderick ( or some such shyte) , so he had a chance at a normal life with the ladies ! And now Igor is doing much better with his own more socialy accepted show , and he has his own assistant !

I will never forget the look on my mate's face when he returned home after his had witnesses his first autopsy (He was studying Nursing). He looked like death, all pale and white and nauseas. He reckons they removed the testicles from the inside!

Unless you're a voyeur with a penchant for gruesome scenes that make your skin crawl, you're not missing anything.

Im sure the majority of the viewers dont watch the show for the 'gruesome' factor. As the show states (Anatomy for Beginners) it's really interesting for the normal Jo Blow who doesnt generally know the 'in's and out's' of... well... themselves.

Really?

I was thinking more 'Dr Stangelove'

Its an amazing show, i dont know how ppl can find it gruseome... both doctors are very professional.

Theres a line of people like you wouldnt beleive who have flagged their body for his shows after they pass on.

My old man watches it and i think it's the worst show i have ever seen. I walked in the other night when it was just starting the the guy that host's it was standing there with this naked chick who must have been about 80 i reckon. I nearly spewed.

As someone who has actually sat through a post mortem examination, I have no idea why someone would subject themselves to his for no reason. It took about 3 and a half hours and was absolutely bored to tears.

I just don't get what is interesting about it? Maybe its me?

Exactly, When i first saw the show , i was thinking i could loose my lunch watching something like this, then I started to learn a few things by paying attention to what was said . And before long i didnt even pay much attention to the gore factor! I have learnt quite abit .

yes i have watched it. I usually hate gore and feel seek etc however when its all neatly in there and he is explaining it all i found it fascinating.

When its all out and not meant to be is a different story.

DUDE I seen that show the other week, it was the episode where they tried to show what it looks like dying from old age and they really hacked into people, not the most placid show

From the show's website

The individuals on whom the demonstration was performed had, before their death, enrolled on von Hagens’ body donor programme and consented to the use of their bodies for public education in anatomy, including public demonstration. Plaster masks were placed over the faces to preserve anonymity.

It's a good show but if you like gorry stuff this is nothing, they are cleaned up anyway, where I work in my local Hospital, I deal with the mortuary, and the guy that is the mortians is a close mate, he has done it all his life and he has seen some thing's you wouldn't want to, I have seen some thing's that I wish I hadn't, succide's and acciedent's, it takes a very special person to do this job, but the ones that really hit home are the infant's, it changes you when you see that.

I think the way he preserves the bodies is extremely interesting not to mention very clever!

Pretty good show, it's probably the most intense show you'll find on comercial TV. You get used to it and you see those 'hardcore' Tv smoking adverts and they look so bloody tame, they almost incourage me to smoke. The German dude has gotta be a pscycopath, he fully gets his rocks off cutting up a carcass, if he didn't have his job he would have to vent his fetish on something else eg. serial killer or something....
