Hi there,
Looking for a paddock basher, basically a utility type vehicle to use on an acreage. Must be 4x4 Prefer Auto Prefer Tray back Cheap Not to be registered Hilux comes to mind, but I don't think many auto's around... Anyone have any ideas of vehicles I can search for? Thanks |

hmmm, well although now as good, an Ex taxi is great, but there 2wd sedans, so ide reccomend a falcon ute, there just about always auto's but then no 4wd. So find a nice lovely bronco

Actually old Mazda and Toyota's rear wheel drive of course.... They seem to go forever...

I remember years ago on my uncle's farm, they had an old Suzuki Sierra thing which was like a traytop ute, did the job perfectly. Unfortunately it wasn't automatic.
Was one of the most fun paddock bashers I ever went in with my cousins as a kid, even if you did have to pump the brakes to get it to stop!!! On a sidenote we also found out that an old rusted mini is a fantastic paddock basher until you start hitting an uneven surface, or a rabbit hole!

Bah! I was going to recommend the good old Datto 180B, or if you can afford the extra $15, the 200B -luxo basher
Why an old auto paddock basher? Good luck anyway...

Whilst it isnt 4x4 we use this as our basher/school bus transport ....... the rear is great for getting firewood & keeping it dry
You can fit anything in it that you can with a ute ........... We take her anywhere we please She is Auto too :P

little dattos go alright..me and my cousin found one at the tip and somehow we got it going..lifted it up with the leverage of wood while another mate put some tyres off another car onto it..good times.
We took the fuel tank off another upside down car for fuel, put another radiator in it from another car and we were off! little beast still goes strong. Anyway for a 4x4 paddock basher try a subaru wagon or brumby..not too many auto 4x4s going around unless you get a hilux with a commodore motor or something |
