Default Differences between NF fairlane and AU 5ltrs

Im looking at buying an 96 fairlane and am wondering what engine mods are different between the 5lt in the fairlane and the 5lt in my AU xr8.
Does the 96 fairlane have the 185kw motor?
What Heads do they run?
How were the gearboxs in this model?

These sort of things if anyone could help that would be awesome thanks!

Pre AU all 5L engines have E7 heads, AU all of them whether they are XR's or not have GT40P heads, the non-XR V8 engine for AU (all series) was rated at 175kW - stayed that way from Series I to III. The 96 Fairlane would have the 165kW V8 which has E7 heads and the HO manifold.

Gearboxes are like any other BTR 4spd, if you look after them they're fine.

Sweet as. I just want one as a cruiser to get to and from work. 800km a week is a bit ruff on my XR8 id rather rack up k's on something cheap.
