Abide by the rules from the state from which you come.

QLD coppers are pretty leninant anyway, but yeah abide by the rules of your home state and youll be fine.

As for things to check, just make sure the cooling system is OK (though its easy in winter), but mainly check tyres, especially the spare.

yeah u drive according to the state that has issued your license. But i love how all the nsw p platers assume the vic laws, or speed limits at least when they're here anyway.

As stated you drive by the conditions of the state in which your licence was issued, So you are allowed to do 110 in the marked zones, unlike your NSW's counterparts..

Drive Safe and enjoy it...

Are you driving up the Newell Highway or the Pacific.

Victorian P Platers can do 110!? You mongrels! Lol.

I'll be moving to Vic at the end of next year, and I'm gonna have to do the whole drive at 90km/h! Aaaarrggh!

basically all your required to do is follow the laws of the state from which you come. You have a license with that state and number plates with that state so a police officer wont be as prone to nab you for some laws you might never of heard of...I've driven in vic & nsw...And everything has been fine.
So enjoy your trip and do the speed limit nobody needs nasty fines in the mail
