MTX75 Gearbox to an IB5 Gearbox on a 2ltr Zetec engine.!

can this be done faily easily.....

just wondering if a Zetec engine would fit, i rather like the ib5 gearbox!

It will fit. The IB5 and MTX75 are pretty much bolt-in replacement, althought the IB5 is a light duty box while the MTX75 is a heavy duty box.

the IB5 is good for 180-190hp
The MTX75 is good for 200-230hp.(this is stated in FastFord Magazine issue 248)

Im sure the ST150 Fiesta has an IB5 box with a Duratech engine and that can be tuned upto 200hp.

My Focus 2003 CL 1.8L Zetec has the IB5 so its a bolton for sure.

Photn You should look into puting a Duratech under there not a Zetec.
A few Euro Tunning shops have 230hp kits and thats NA.

dude the Zetec box is a much better gearbox for feel, strength and longevity. Why the hell would you convert an MTX75 to an IB5??!!!!!
