yeah ... well it says that mine has traction, but there's no switch for it ... but when econ. is on, i have awsome grip like in the wet, can accelerate with no slipping ... but when its off, i just spin ... thats just demented, so i dont know wether traction might have been wired through to that button? would i have to bring it to ford to find out, because its just weird ... and yes, its always off aswell haha

Are you sure you have traction control? coz my car doesnt spin when its in econ. your probably not slipping because econ just makes your car rev less, and traction control will do the same thing, but only on take off. I think.

It is a bugger of a conversion (can be done though). You would need Fairmont looms (pretty sure), and all the bits of the dash including the new heater box to work with climate control (cant use your old one).

Talk to Chief as I think he is planning to put a Fairmont dash into his Forte, which is the same dash as what you have now.

I have a suspicion that Series 1 didnt have traction control. Is your car on gas, if so it would have it disabled.

The S1 Fairmont Ghias had traction control but I don't think the fairmont on the S1 had it.

from the sounds of it you dont have traction control.

when mine is activated, a light on the dash flashes. also, it is fairly agressive so youd notice it was happening.
