just wondering if someone knows how to fix this problem.
On the drivers door when you turn the key, none of the locking buttons come up inside.. But the drivers door is now open, no other doors are unlocked... When i go into the car and pull the button up all the doors open...? How can i make it normal, so when i turn the key all the doors open? Thanks Aaron

Do the doors all lock when you lock the drivers door? If they don't, it might be worth looking inside your door skin to see if something is broken or unpluged. It sounds like the pulll up buttons are working but the connection to the key mechanism might have a problem. But I'm only guessing.

sounds like the key isn't pushing the lock up high enough to engage the door motor.
when u say u get in the car and pull the lock up to activate the others, are you talking about the drivers door lock? |

My EB S XR8 does exactly the same thing. I was told when I bought it that it was because of the after market alarm/immobiliser that is fitted. I have so many other things to do on the car that I jave not had a chance to look into it.
In relation to the other posts, my door look is pretty stuffed, but I don't think that it has anything to do with the locking. BTW - mine is the EB1 model, without snartlock, but does have a single button keypad, not sure if this is the alarm keypad, or a ford - it doesnt have any markings on it

I had a similar problem with the locks cycling closed and open. It was because one lock was not moving freely and would stop the others changing. Think the button link was distorted. Also put graphite powder down around the buttons.

My approach would be to check the switches for voltage changes and power to the motors.
Think I remember problems with poor connectors. The fact that all the door locks work would indicate no signal from the drivers door lock. Think someone said that. |

ive got aftermarket central locking and keyless entry on my EA.
When i turn the car on, the doors lock automatically, so all doors are locked. when i turn the car off, and get out, i just use the handle on the inside to relaese the door and the button goes up a bit but doesnt unlock the other doors. When i lift the button, the other dooors dont unlock anyway. I use the keyless button to lock them all again (but it ends up just being the drivers door coz its the only one that unlocks) If you can follow that, kool, if not, dont worry, just wat mine does prolly has no inut into the thread hehe Rayos |
