Hi Guy's
My mum has a 2006 WQ Fez its been a good little car done abut 7500km with no real issues what so ever. The only thing that she will get Ford to look at shortly on maybe a total of 6 occasions it hasnt started at all try again & it goes fine its Auto & is always in Park when she starts her. Anyone had a similar problem? I think its a Sept 06 build (is it just a software/flash upgrade required)

A few times lately mine hasn't started until the third try. I assume I've bumped the accelerator getting in. I thought it was just me.

it has to do with the ECU! there have been other occasions where other people have had the same problem....
as far as i know they have just had their Ecu reset! and it has worked fine afterwards.

Yes I've had that once or twice. No dramas really...
Ford Fiesta = the best new car you can get for $20,000 or under. Period. |

I started mine the other day. It took a few goes.. started.. spluttered.. felt like it was going to stall then felt like it was going to pull through.. then stalled. That's it though. I just put it down to the hot day and the fact I'd just turned the motor off minutes earlier. 1600 Km on it now.

Steffo
now that you mention it, I only have that problem when using V-Power. I'd estimate that I have probs starting 1 in every 30 starts. When using Vortex98, I have far fewer problems - say 1 in 65. Rough figures, don't quote me |

Had the car since Jan 07 and its done it three times. Don't know what fuel it was drinking at the time but it usually diets on Shell 95+98 and Caltex 98 (can't remember the names).
I've been using the car almost twice every single day so i'm not really alarmed at the moment. Besides I'm too much of a lazy sod to try and get it fixed when i can just restart it again. 1/30 starts? That's pretty high though |

I've used V-Power Racing for several months and I dont have any problems with the car. The car nearly carked it when BP's 95RON PULP was in the tank. Never buy 95RON again.
MoreHPformyXR6, maybe the Fiesta turned emo? |

Hey Guys,
As mentioned in my first post my Mum has a 2006 WQ LX Fez & I noted last weekend her little black plastic molding that attatches to the car under the front bumper sheet metal has come loose on drivers side edge I found a black plastic rivett/screw type thing on the driveway under this spot that fits in the holes in the black plastic molding. Now it will go to dealer for sure under warranty but Mum is still about 2 weeks off driving again after a shoulder reconstruction. Just wondered if its a common thing? As when you park it in car parks etc that black molding hangs rather low. Im talking about the black plastic molding below the front bumper. This photo was taken when it was perfect.

its designed as a protector strip for your front bumper...
the rivet/screw is plastic so im pretty sure when they replace it.. thatll be the end of it... things like that happen every now and then so...

I scrape mine quite a lot too. Mainly on driveways. Haven't ripped it off yet.
