Nice windscreen demister... I've seen a similar setup on a white XD paddock basher posted on the net a few years back... car was white and the turbo setup was a *tiny* bit neater... but not much.

I think the bullet holes are a nice touch. Maybe he needs a bigger turbo to get away from who ever is shooting at him.

A set of retreads, a radiator cap, and that would probably pass for a RWC in parts of S.A.

A video is definitely on the cards. The problem at the moment is traction, even before the rain there was wheelspin in top gear so at the moment its sorta hard to reach the desired speeds.
One amusing activity is to cruise alongside a car on the highway doin 110 then plant it and leave them for dust. Them being on highway which is very smooth, Mad buggers with wagon in paddock which is very un-smooth. The crossmember has hit the ground upon landing over a few humps along the way. I've seen a few passengers looking pretty pale after going for a run in this thing.

My bro' originally bought the wagon last year for $300 with 10 months rego during which it covered many kilometers and copped an incredible flogging over every one. The original engine, after being thrashed to within an inch of it's life every day for months even after a pushrod was straightened with a hammer, eventually gave up the ghost. An earlier model cast head crossflow was sourced (for nothing) and fitted. The cast head gave the inspiration because its bolt pattern allows the exhaust manifold to be fitted upside down, that, and the turbo had been sitting around for a while begging to be fitted to something.
The original manifold was cut and modified to suit the turbo flange (not as easy as you may think, though indeed it is a bit of RHS) A 350 Holley that was lying around and a redline manifold from the wreckers were fitted. After a bit of fiddling he had it all running sweet.
Boost comes on from around 2500rpm and rapidly increases from there, I have no idea what psi it reaches and the speedo goes off the clock.

It was actually still registered when all this was done and was driven on the road. (faces of other motorists.... Priceless.)
I just followed the links through to find out the info.
The owner (i think) talks about it and plans to get a you tube video together
