www.surecam.com.au

I did a 14.502 probably 3 years or more ago with one of his regrinds, which was the fastest N/A E-series 6 for ages (until Jim Mock Motorsport got into it, but their car had a fully rebuilt engine etc etc)

And OED666 has a custom billet surecam in his car, which is currently the fastest N/A 6 E-series, excluding of course Jim Mock Motorsport, and their full drag spec suspension/$6000 rebuilt motor etc...)

Surecam FTMFW.

His car has head porting, a fully rebuilt bottom end, a hole in the bonnet and IIRC no rev limit.

OEDs engine is stock AU XR6 apart from extractors and exhaust, and ED manifold, and still uses the pov pack ED intake box too.

Regardless, surecam make awesome cams for these motors.

Rather than get into an argument on who has fastest ford 6 (probably some old bloke that cant use a pc) we should stick to the question crow surecam and if money is an issue and that it is for me WADE cams do regrinds and swap over cams and they can make anything big enough for stock engine management to handle give Keith there a call and he will be able to sort you out for little over $100

so im guessing a midrange cam from wade or surecam will be between $100-$300? thats cool but are these easy to install yourself or otherwise...what about timing or the ecu being screwed around by the new lift?

cheers anyways

was that a changeover price or as is?

my mate wants a cam that will work well with his CAI & full exhaust with headers and still be good for towing on his EF fairmmont.

Will this wade cam do this ok?

Blueoval give wade a call there is no one cam good for all jobs but the guys there are great at giving you a few options on what would suit your aplication for towing a 1004 would be more suited in my oppinion but call them and have a chat they are very helpfull .

Thanks mate, will do. I think my mate would like an all in one type of setup. i.e. used for towing during the week and some playtime on the weekends. But I guess he cant necessarily have both. I think he will look at the best option for towing first then any extra gains he has will be a bonus.

Thinking maybe the 1604 might be a better option too.

Will leave it up to him and report back after its all sorted.

hey mate try starting a thread here in the wade cams section. They will be able to provide you with the info you need. Just tell them your mods and what your after and they should be able to come up with the right cam for you.

cheers cranners. I have a new thread in the wade cams section which hopefully get the guys from wade attention. But yes the 1636 seems to be a popular choice.
