Which pub mate?
The Berwick Inn on the main street or Castello's on Clyde Rd.

well first of there will be probably no way to stop the illegal street drags 100% cause there will always be some that think that its more fun, easier an exiting to do it that way but I must say they are very wrong!!!!
As for ay IDEAS well!!!
1.first of all you need to councils, police an other people need to separate the hoons from the legit drag races out there.
2.you need lots of packup from autoshops(sponsers),police, council, community etc an to show all the people that not all guys, girls are not HOONS like others.
3.Some of the rules an restrictions at this events an future events need to be changed,Remember people that we aint the V8 supercars or fomula one we havnt got million dollars sponsers an we aint a graig lowndes etc ,Most of us are average guys / girls that love racing an nice cars etc the rules for this events an future ones are/can be a bit STRICT
4.As i have said above to follow on you still need some rules an restriction specially safety of the cars an events.
5.Must make the compitions more competortive, more trophy's for more fields, more safety, prize money, less harder rules on entering etc.
6.all opinions of people must be heard.
7.closer an more events so these people who like draging on our streets no excuse.
8.these events need to be run by proffesionally not by a punch of clowns this aint playing broom, broom cars in your bedroom!!!
I have lots of thoughts an opinions but to many to mention i will put more on soon,But remember that we are not as big as the people in the supercars, formula 1 etc.
This great sport of ours is growing bigger everyday an we have the potentual of being as big if not bigger an thats one of the FIRST things we need to change,Let these people like councils ,police, goverment that these are serious people an serious compitions that rakes in millions of dollars a year an can be a major sport in these country if not the world.

Establish some sort of regular drag and drift event every fortnight (or once a month) for every tom dick and harry to go and do their things and get it out of their system.

Friday night drags at Calder are 2 hours away for southern suburbs people...

i agree but the biggest problem there is you need approval first an second will all these hoons go even if it was every fortnight well i hope so.
see we need to separate the good seeds from the bad first get a good name for the serious people first an the u will see the others follow thinking that they are missing out on things an they ARE!!!!!.
Also the drift, drags or burnout events need to be different from other events (MAKE SOMETHING NEW!)an more cheaper an attractive than the streets if not they will just stay there.
Finally you cant make promises to these guys an it never happens thats a main reason why they stay out there cause they think its bullshit/never happen ,Remember actions speak louder than words

What i think is that we need to get a club together an make some new events, drags

1.need new events introduced or a NATS,DRAGS with all new events.
2.drinking of ALCOHOL only in selected areas, come on guys/girls u really dont want alcohol near your nice cars hey!
3.Safety for all entrents an spectators a must.
4.cheaper entry an easier scrutenerring(SORRY ABOUT SPELLING).
5 cheaper prices for people (SPECIALLY CHILDREN)
6.remember children are important, lets make it fun for them, maybe one day they wann do what we do.
7.selected areas for people to unload an load cars without police hassel.
8.street drags ,well lets put a 10 sec car against a 10 sec car ,What is this where u get a falcon that does like 9sec an gets him to race like a mazda that only does 13sec come on people grow up give other drag racers r chance.
9. make selected classes in street drags for every type of car.
10. lets bring back camping fecilities, an make it fun weekends

what i want to do is to get help in anyway , like get the guys that drag race on race tracks to start up drag racing schools to teach and show all things about drag racing and not what to do, go to schools secondary where there its starts 14 , 15 ,16olds upwoods. I have allready been contacted buy schools to do lextures . but i need pro drag racers to help to do it, we go out and even go and try to talk to the street racers not once . we keep doing it we never give up and it will work. go to papers , tv ,radios et. what ever we can to teach and help the street racers whats right and wrong . im doing this with cams and r. langoor because we care and the love of the sport . and we will never give up ,u must fight for what u really like thats all motor sport. [example that councils, gov, et ] got rid of aussie rules there would be trouble everywhere because they love there sport, not for the money . so guys keep giving ideas to help . thanks guys goldberg. sorry spelling not the best
