Welcome!
You will be safe purchasing that XR6. it will not be over 200kw, they are 161kw if i recall correctly stock, and exhuast and extractors will probly bump it to 170kw max. (125rwkw ish) Hope this helps.

Go for the ED XR6! Trust me, even though I am biased as I own one, they are an awesome car. I believe for P plates its power to weight related, Its 125KW/TON. So at 1450kg, its just under.

i agree but there is also a part of a new law that is coming in where you cant have any perfomace mods to the car. so the exhaust system will get ya caught and youd be up for 3 points and 1000 bucks
sorry for the bad news dimi

The actual law in Qld is here in this link, http://www.transport.qld.gov.au/Home...e_restriction/
It doesnt actually say that those exhaust mods are illegal for you to drive in QLD. I would go to the nearest Transport office just to confirm though ...... Just to be safe ;) As far as what to look out for, I would suggest checking all the hoses, belts, engine bay for leaks, make sure the gear box is smooth ..... all the basic stuff really. They are a great car when they have been maintained |

hey all cheers for the feedback,
Ye im on the new laws crap laws and as far as i kno exhuast isnt a factor aslong its isnt over 90DB, due to it not being mod plate mod so on and so on.. but i will check up on it again tho trying to get info out transport office is near impossible. The owner told me the exhuast isnt loud but nice note, any one been DB tested? cheers |

Now I have Pacemaker extractors, lukey mandrel bent middle section with 1 muffler and a hotdog on the rear section, so it'd be pretty loud now!
