Does it have to be a factory switch or can it be a simple rocker switch from Jaycar

Use a switch, IF you need a 'pilot light' that tells you the lamps are on, - use one that shows GREEN. (Yellow or Amber for a rear fog install, Blue for driving lamp) SOME LED duckbill types are too bright, this NARVA switch (Pt No. 62058BL) is recommended for a front fog install however, see the bottom switch, similar design on previous page too: http://www.narva.com.au/Switches_10.html Buy a relay; one wire with fuse runs to battery, one or two to the lights proper (one or two depends on relay), one to the switch, one to earth. The negative wire from the lamps, each, are earthed too. From the 3-pole switch; One wire (Bl) to earth (for LED), one in from the relay, one to the park-light positive feed. This enables operation of front fog lamps when the headlight switch is on park, low or high-beam. In seriously reduced visibility, it is safer to switch OFF the low-beam headlights and rely, at reduced speed, on the front fogs-with park lights to help you see ahead. This reduces eye fatigue over time and distance. If you add a rear fog, take the 'feed' for it from this front fog circuit.
