ok guys i changed the dash to show digital speed and rpm but the odometer shows different to the digital readout ( in speed) which 1 should i trust

i would think trust the one that was in there, or you could get mechanic to check the rpm, surely that wouldn't be too difficult, depends on just how different it is i suppose.

are you talking about diagnostics mode on the dash?
the digital reading is slightly lower then what your needle says... mine is the same.. plus i beleive it was mentioned in one of the recent threads about diagnostics mode.... |

Diag mode readout is more accurate than the needle. To be sure though, check each against a GPS unit that displays speed.

The digital readout is more accurate, the speedo needle is driven by a stepper motor which has a certain margin for error (in fact the ADR's state it only has to be within +/- 10%). To avoid the cops I'd be relying on the needle, since it shows the higher value.
