Well, I have an AU fairmont, and this is how it went.
I am running 95 ron fuel, but curiosity got the better of me, so the first tune that went in was the 98 tune. Felt real smooth and it went good, till I hit 4000 rpm and it started pining. As soon as it did so, I backed off, pulled over and flashed the 95 tune in.
Idle seems to be set lower, around 600rpm, and drops to 400 or even 350 when you stop, sounds like its got a mild cam, almost kind of lumpy. The delivery of the power is nice and smooth, the midrange feels great, and the gearbox's shifts have been touched up slightly I think. Also, after a night of giving it stick, my DTE went UP, instead of down, I gained 100k's of fuel from driving 100k's in a spirited way.
The other tune is a valet tune which has a rev limiter, which Im yet to try.
I am happy with it, Ill be even happier when its controlling the turbo which will be on soon, then we can see the real parameters of what they can do.
Ill be taking it for a run out at willowbank soon, this will tell me if it really has got any more go in it, but for a generic tune, I am quite happy for now.

Put my order with KPM, just have to get back to them about the ECU's numbers (VCTs have a few different options available). Will do this when the vehicle is next parked in the drive!

Looking forward to it when I get it!!! Should be next week

Install? You plug it in, pick a tune, wait while it downloads your factory tune, then uploads the selected tune, and off you go. Every time you change tunes after that, it just does the upload bit, even to go back to factory. I've had one for about 12 months and 2 BA's.

Hi all, Well i,ve put the 98 Octane tune in, and it's definitely made a difference, pulls harder and is more responsive..

However, one thing I have noticed is that the engine fans don,t seem to shut off, has anyone had this problem or is this normal?

Cheers..

It seemed to turn on when the flash was complete, but it certainly turns off in mine.
