Default XR headlight

Hi all, The bigger of the two headlight on my xr (outside lightbulb) is cracked and I need to replace it. Could anyone point me in the direction of what to get and where to get it as I have no idea. And about how much I'm looking at price wise.

Talk about leading horses and still no drinking. Seriously, give The Dok a call anyway (or PM him). He may be able to just send you up a replacement glass bit, not the whole lot. As a guide, I got a set of reco'd ones from him about 2 years ago for $600 odd postage included. I imagine one glass bit would be $150 odd. If you are still not keen (lazy) to ring him, then ring your local Ford dealer, and wreckers and see what they have. I doubt wreckers will have any (you may be lucky though), and Ford will want an arm, a leg, and half your bits to replace the glass lens.

No worries. He is really, really good to deal with (just hoping he still does AU XR lights, lol)

These guys are local to you as well (they are wreckers):
Aussie Car Recyclers (you'll have to look them up in the white/yellow pages).

No worries - you looked after me, so this is just the swing catching up to the roundabout....or something like that!

Clearskinz/Lightskinz/Skinz is what you need. They protect the headlights without looking ugly - in fact once fitted, it's hard to tell they've been fitted.

Yes, I can confirm that. Thanks for the tip, JC.

I fitted Lightskinz onto the driving lights in my Brumby bar prior to my Tassie trip. Not a mark on them after 5000+ kms. Judging by the stone chips on the lower bar I'm sure that without the Lightskinz at least one of the lenses would have been cracked.
