375kW out of the box!? And available with supercharger!?!

What a rippin' little engine! I wonder what Holden's response to that will be!

Sounds nice, but I still want a 351 clevo so badly. I guess Ford will never put it back into production :(

I dont think this engine will be anygood, it doesnt have the capacity to produce enough torque, and I dont think they will be puting supercharges on the xr8.

I guess if they wanted to they could just install a turbo. That 375kw is presumably with the supercharger, because it is in the top of the line R badge Jaguar.

If they wanted a Small Capacity V8 Engine with a Supercharger they would have done just that with the Mustang 4.6L S/C Engine from the SVT Cobra instead of making the Boss Engine back in 2002...

I remember reading somewhere that both Jag V8s will be supercharged but to different levels of output. I presumed at the time that meant a detuned version of the R engine would replace the 8. This changes things -for the better. Maybe the R spec could run with the new Twincharge tech like VW and offer both Supercharger down low and Ford's version of DSG - now that would seriously rock on a V8

The new Jaguar V8 will be available both in naturally-aspirated form and with a supercharger and the basic bottom line is 375kW

What a load of rubbish !

A Premium PAG V8 in a Falcon ?

It won't happen. Just because some second rate reporter says it will it's gospel ?

I'll wait until FoA says it's a fact before I believe it, and not until then !!!

Even the 5 litre version of the Jag V8 seems like a crock. There's supposedly been a rumoured 5 litre version coming for years now. I reckon I first read about a bigger version of the AJV8 at least 4 years ago, but the XF is only a 4.2. If any car was to have it that would have been it. :

yeah I would prefer the 5.8 or 6 litre hurricane V8 over going back to a the 5 litre, sure the Jag unit looks Good but apart from the PEEK power figure we know nothing else about it, and like any news story it will be 80% BS and 20% truth
